Kelly’s Dance Studio
When: Saturday, June 11th, 2022
Where: Charleston Municipal Auditorium
Time: 6:30 p.m.
As recital grows closer, more information will be given. For now, just know that you need to set aside the whole day. Stage rehearsal is in the morning and performance is in the evening. Rehearsal is not an all day affair, but this day is a busy one, so clearing your calendar for this day is a good idea. Rehearsal is mandatory. This is not a dress rehearsal.
I do not have a working title, yet, but I do have the concept! This recital will have music jumping from Rock to Disco to Classic 70’s to Pop! I had such fun with this past year’s music that I want just a little more 70’s! I think my girlies will love it! And, I hope you do, too!
Last year's recital was all 70's- no disco just early 70's- smooth, story telling, fun, good for your soul music. No recital will ever be as close to my heart as last year's. It was all my favorite memory filled songs. I was so lucky to grow up living across the street from my best friend. We spent every minute together- one of my favorite memories is waking up in the summer (remember when school used to give a full summer to recharge and just be free?) grabbing a bowl of cereal and running straight to Robin's. Always barefoot- grass still cool and wet- free to do whatever our imaginations told us. If I could go back for a day or two- I would in a heartbeat. The songs that we used were songs that Robin and I sang out loud, heard played at the pool over and over and listened to every nite on WKAZ! In short, they were my happy songs and will always be my happy songs just like my Robin will always be the best part of my youth. I love you much, Robin Bobbin!
Costume information will be given out in late November. The first payment is due November 15th, second payment due by December 15th, the third payment by January 15th and the final payemnt is due February 15th. Please estimate $80-90 per costume. Little girl classes require 2 costumes and the older girls usually have 3 (8 and over, however we stay under the above estimate!). This estimate is a bit high, but remember to plan accordingly. You can begin making costume payments at any time. If you include a costume payment with monthly tuition, please make a note with your payment. **Late fees will be applied after the February due date. Costume deposits will be $50 with each installment for younger classes- your February payment will be whatever your balance is after the 3 prior installments. Costume deposits will be $65 with each installment for the teenage classes. Again, your February payment will be your balance after the 3 installments. Late fees will be charged after March 1st on any outstanding costume balance. Once ordered, costumes are non-refundable by company. Costumes and costume deposits are non-refundable at anytime. I feel the need to explain that this has become a necessary rule, for deposits also, due to many problems in the past.
Our recital fee is $50 per dancer. We have a family discount for multiple dancer families. Recital fees can be paid at anytime thru the dance season, however, they must be paid by June 1st. Tickets are sold ($15 Adult/$7 Child); dancers receive a free Dancer's Pass. Multiple dancer families receive 2 half price tickets.
POLICIES: If you withdrawal from classes before the recital, as stated above, costumes and deposits are non-refundable. Your costumes will be mailed to you AFTER the recital if you request. This is only if you contact us about not continuing classes. You will also need to pay a $10 postage fee. We will not be responsible for costumes that are not claimed/requested. We do not hand out costumes during class times if you drop in. I am sorry to have these policies as a necessity but past problems have made them so. If you withdrawal after you have paid your recital fee, it is non-refundable. Please understand that past experiences have made this rule necessary.
